Luton Safeguarding Children Board
Three messages from the Board
March 2013
1. The LSCB supports the use of the resolution of professional disagreements protocol to resolve professional disagreements relating to the safeguarding of children and the escalation of concerns.
2. Thank you to all practitioners who attended the recent LSCB Open afternoon. We have noted your feedback and will use it to inform the 13/14 LSCB Business plan.
3. The LSCB will continue to seek opportunities to be assured that the interface between adult and children’s social care is effective.
Hello and welcome to the Luton Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) website. We hope you will find the site a useful resource both in understanding the purpose of the Luton Safeguarding Children Board, its structure and membership, as well as a user friendly tool to safeguard children and young people. A key objective for the LSCB is to promote the message that ‘Safeguarding Children is everybody’s responsibility’ and therefore this site is aimed at, not only Professionals but Children, young people and their families.
The Luton Safeguarding Children Board is a vibrant body with excellent representation and outstanding commitment from our partner agencies across the statutory and voluntary sectors. We seek to work with parents, carers and young people themselves, as well as, the wider public and do as much as we can within the resources available to us.
